Former Telgnana BJP president and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar remarked that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy seemed to have lost his ‘courage and spirit’ in taking action against the various scandals during the BRS regime.
Participating in a MLC election campaign in Chennur, Mancherial district, he wondered what happened to the Chief Minister’s vow to get behind the KCR’s family’s involvement in Kaleshwaram project, phone tapping, drugs and Formula-E race scams and so on.
“Why haven’t you arrested anyone even after 14 months? Did KCR strike a deal with the Congress high command in Delhi to weaken the growing BJP in Telangana by secretly collaborating with BRS and diluting the cases?,” he asked.
Under Congress rule, farmers, employees, graduates and teachers are suffering while the six guarantees are not implemented. Fee reimbursement dues are not cleared forcing college administrations to the brink of closure, claimed the BJP leader.
The ruling party has also been facing a shortage of candidates, which is evident from the fact that they had to bring in an outsider as their graduate candidate. For the other two constituencies, they couldn’t even find candidates, he said.
Mr. Sanjay Kumar has accused the BRS of staying out of the race to help Congress win. “This is because BRS wants to avoid arrests in scam cases by striking a secret deal with Congress”, he charged. He appealed to the people to think of what they gained by voting for Congress which is yet to issue a single ration card or construct a house for the poor.
