Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has directed officials of different departments to make arrangements for successful conduct of the upcoming Miss World 2025 global beauty pageant to be held in the city from May 10 to 31 in a befitting manner.

Elaborate security arrangements should be made for the pageant without inconveniencing the visitors from 116 countries who are expected to attend the prestigious event. Officials are directed to take steps to see that Telangana’s potential is showcased on a global scale through the Miss World event and there should be no scope for any shortcomings in the conduct of the event.

In addition to the contestants, around 3,000 media personnel from different countries would arrive in the city to cover the event. The participants and other delegates should be accorded a grand welcome reflecting Telangana’s traditions and there should not be any complaints about the arrangements and conduct of the event. Officials of different departments, including the Tourism department, should ensure utmost coordination among themselves and discharge their duties effectively till the completion of the event.

The Chief Minister reviewed the arrangements being made for Miss World 2025 at a high level meeting with senior officials on Monday. The police officials were directed to make security arrangements from May 10 to 31 in accordance with the schedule of the event and steps should be taken to nominate a nodal officer from the departments concerned to coordinate the arrangements. Officials should take steps to ensure grand success of the programme from the inaugural event at Gachibowli stadium on May 10 to the grand finale on May 31. They were asked to make necessary arrangements for ensuring transport and other arrangements for the contestants to different locations within the city like Charminar and Laad Bazaar and venues across the State. Adequate security personnel should be posted at the venues that were likely to be visited by them.

In case of any untoward incidents, officials should prepare alternative plans in advance to tackle the situation. While efforts should be made to showcase the DWCRA bazaar operated by the IKP women, officials should make necessary arrangements to enable the participants to watch the semi-finals of the IPL tournament at Uppal Stadium. Officials were directed to see that there were no traffic and power supply related problems at the venues where the contest was being held besides taking steps in advance to tackle adverse weather conditions if any in coordination with the GHMC and HYDRAA.

Invitations should be extended to people’s representatives as well as reputed personalities from different fields to the inaugural of the pageant. Officials should take steps to see that students of BC, SC and ST welfare residential schools, model schools and Kasturba schools witness the pageant for at least one day. Important junctions, historical places and all vantage points in the city should be aptly decorated on all days during the three-week-long event.
