The Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESC) has prohibited video recording of the drone show scheduled to be held as part of the Dasara festivities in Mysuru.
The drone shows are scheduled to be held at the Torchlight Parade Grounds in Bannimantap in Mysuru on September 28, 29 and October 1 and 2.
In a statement here, the CESC said it had come to its notice that some private individuals and organisations were flying their drones to capture visuals of the show conducted by CESC and have been sharing the drone-captured clips on social media.
Strictly prohibiting such unauthorised videography of the drone show, the CESC said any person or organisation flying its own drones during the drone show, capturing its visuals and circulating the same on social media without obtaining permission from the competent authorities will face legal action.
The CESC has decided to register cases related to cybercrime against such persons and organisations and initiate legal action against them, said the statement.
Hence, all individuals and organisations are hereby warned not to record visuals of the drone shows conducted by CESC using unauthorised drones. The CESC release has issued a stern warning that if any person or organisation is found recording the drone show privately despite caution, their drones will be confiscated and further steps will be taken in accordance with law.
