The body of an unidentified woman was discovered floating in Hussainsagar at Bathukamma Ghat, near Necklace Road, close to the Sanjeevaiah Park main gate, on Thursday afternoon. An officer from the Secretariat police said the body was found at approximately 2.30 p.m.  “Preliminary inquiry suggests that the woman is believed to be between 25 and 30 years old, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, with a fair complexion and black hair. She was dressed in black and blue clothing and wore green and gold-coloured bangles,” said the officer.

The officer added that the body was in a decomposed state, with no external injuries visible. It was shifted to Gandhi Hospital at 4.10 p.m. and preserved for post-mortem examination.
