Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president K. Sudhakaran on Thursday (April 24, 2025) slammed the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying that the party was incapable of governing the country.
Addressing the media at the District Congress Committee office in Kannur, Mr. Sudhakaran said that the BJP government had failed to ensure the safety of citizens in conflict-hit Kashmir.
“The Congress has ruled India since Independence with the guidance of seasoned leaders who had administrative expertise. The BJP lacks that experience and has failed the people,” he said.
He also criticised the BJP for attempting to appropriate historical leaders for political gain. “When did the BJP start remembering Chettur Sankaran Nair? Their interest lies only in acquiring leaders from other parties,” he remarked.
On P.V. Anwar’s possible entry into the UDF, Mr. Sudhakaran said there was no objection to it and described Mr. Anwar as a trusted individual.
In another development, Youth Congress Mahe region president Rajilesh was arrested by the Paloor police on charge of delivering hate speech during a rally.
