Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and Election Commissioners Sukhbir Singh Sandhu and Vivek Joshi addressed a press conference regarding the Bihar Assembly elections on Sunday (October 5, 2025). This comes after the ECI’s two-day visit to Bihar, where they met with various stakeholders, concluding today.

Booth Level Officers (BLO) from all districts of Bihar were present during the conference. Mr. Kumar lauded the role of BLOs for their work during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, adding that over 90,000 BLOs took part in the SIR. He also said that the SIR was completed in the stipulated time frame.
