Indian crickjet team coach Gautam Gambhir and skipper Rohit Sharma recently had a review meeting with the BCCI senior officials following the loss in Border Gavaskar Trophy. While there were some decisions, speculated to taken after the meeting, nothing tangible was revealed until now.
According to a new report in Dainik Jagran, BCCI is looking to implement some stricter rules for the players and support staff. Citing an official in the BCCI’s Mumbai office, the report states that there could be some tough changes for the players and the support staff.
No more privileges for Gambhir’s staff:
Reportedly, Gambhir’s personal manager Gaurav Arora travels with him which was not the case with previous Indian coaches. The new guidelines could see Gambhir’s manager not staying with the team hotel while could also be barred from sitting inside the VIP box. The report states that Arora will not travel inside the team bus or in the bus following it.
