Kunnumpuram Auto Souhrida Kootayma, an organisation of autorickshaw drivers focused on social service and the welfare of its members, will honour Beeran, a Class IX student who collected scrap and raised ₹75,000 towards medical aid for a Class III student, on April 14.

The organisation will also honour Adrinath and Niranjana – children of auto drivers who set a record in singing – and Ramesh, an autorickshaw driver and percussionist.

As part of the event, ‘Vishu Kaineettam’ will be presented to passengers to promote better rapport between drivers and passengers. Corporation councillor Ambika Sudarshan will inaugurate the programme at Kunnumpuram Palam ground at 9.30 a.m. Police Circle Inspector Vinod will distribute the prizes.
