[ad_1]

The Indian team defeated Pakistan by seven wickets to consolidate their top position in Group A of the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 in Dubai on Sunday. Chasing 128 runs, India romped home in 15.5 overs with more than half of their batting line-up to spare. With this win India won both their game while Pakistan won one and lost one.

With this win, India now have four points from two games and consolidate their position at the top of the group. Pakistan, on the other hand, have two points from two games. The Men in Green will play UAE (on September 17) in their final group game while India will take on Oman (September 19). UAE and Oman are yet to open their accounts.

How can Pakistan qualify for Super 4 stage?

Despite a loss to India, Pakistan can still qualify for the Super 4 stage. The Salman Ali Agha‘s men need to win against United Arab Emirates (UAE) as it would take them to four points in three games which would be enough for Pakistan to qualify for the Super Four stage.

In case UAE stun Pakistan, the Muhammad Waseem-led side also need to win against Oman to qualify. Even if Pakistan lose to UAE, they still can qualify provided Oman win their match against UAE. In that case, the net run rate will come into play for the second Group A qualifier.

Oman will take on UAE on September 15 at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. If Pakistan qualify for the Super 4 stage, another India vs Pakistan will be on cards.
