Accusing the National Testing Agency (NTA) of being negligent in allocating examination centres to students appearing for JEE Mains-2025, the management of Sri Tirumala Education Society in Bhimavaram, West Godavari district on Friday (January 17) demanded that the authorities should revise the allocation and give priority to the options given by the students while applying for the test.
In a statement, S. Sai Raju and P. Srinivasa Varma of the Society said their students — K. Teja Charan and P. Sai Lokesh — from Bhimavaram were allotted Kargil in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir as their examination centre for Paper-1, scheduled to be held on January 29, which is about 3000 km away from their native town.
“Surprisingly, both the students got Visakhapatnam as their examination centre for the Paper-2 (B. Arch), scheduled for the next day, (January 30). How can they travel such a distance overnight?” they asked. Pointing to the fact that many students from Bhimavaram were allotted Warangal as the exam centre for Paper-1 and Hyderabad for Paper-2, they demanded that the NTA authorities look into this and revise the allocation of the examination centres.
