Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta on Sunday instructed the departments concerned to initiate the process of allocating offices for the newly elected MLAs in their respective constituencies.
He said the step aims to facilitate efficient public service and enable MLAs to communicate directly with their constituents. The Speaker said through these offices, MLAs will be able to take prompt action to address the concerns of people. “We have taken necessary steps to ensure that all MLAs receive their offices in a timely manner,” Mr. Gupta said.
As per protocol, former MLAs have vacated the offices in their constituencies after the Assembly poll.
The Assembly Secretariat, in a statement, confirmed that the process of assigning offices to the new legislators has begun.
