Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order) S. Davidson Devasirvatham on Friday conducted an inspection to review the security arrangements being made for the devotees attending the upcoming consecration ceremony of Subramanya Swamy Temple in Tiruchendur.

The consecration ceremony of the temple is scheduled to take place on July 7 after a gap of 15 years. Ahead of the event, yagasala puja will commence at the temple from July 1.

With lakhs of devotees expected to participate in the festival, security arrangements are being made on a large scale. ADGP Davidson Devasirvatham had visited the temple premises to oversee the ongoing preparations.

During his visit, he inspected the temple tower, the yagasala mandapam, the devotees que line, vehicle parking zones and the area earmarked for setting up for a temporary bus stand.

Following the inspection, the ADGP held a consultation meeting with senior police officials and members of the temple administration to discuss the safety measures and crowd management plans.

South Zone Inspector General of Police Prem Anand Sinha, Tirunelveli Range DIG Santosh Hadimani, Thoothukudi District Superintendent of Police Albert John and other officials were present during the inspection.
