Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that the notification for Mega District Selection Committee (DSC) exam would be issued in the first week of April. The State government has decided to complete the process and give postings before reopening of the schools in June, he said.

During the first day of Collectors’ Conference on Tuesday (March 25), Mr. Naidu said the government will launch the ‘Thalliki Vandanam’ scheme in May. The government  will give ₹15,000 per child. Financial assistance under this scheme will be provided before schools reopen, he said.

In an indirect reference to YSRCP president and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, he said:  “One person has destroyed the State over the past five years. The people did not accept the rule of the YSRCP government. Tired of the previous governance, they extended broad support to us.”

The State government  has started the process of rebuilding the State. Welfare, development, and good governance must reach the people. Nowhere else in the country,  a pension of ₹4,000 is being provided, but the State government is providing it here. He also mentioned that the pension for the differently-abled has been increased to ₹6,000, he said.

The government  has brought the Polavaram project back on track, which had been derailed. The government  will complete the Amaravati capital project by 2027. “We are securing financial assistance from organizations like the World Bank and Asian Development Bank (ADB). We will repay the loans through land monetization,” he said, adding, “Amaravati project is a self-financing one, and the development of Amaravati is being carried out using the best model in the world.”

He highlighted that meals are being provided for ₹5 through the “Anna Canteens” and that three gas cylinders are being provided annually under the Deepam-2 scheme.  the garbage tax has been removed, he added.
