The Indian Space Research Organisation’s Propulsion Research Complex bus fatally knocked down a farmer on Tuesday morning. Police said driver of the bus carrying IPRC employees from Tirunelveli to Mahendragiri on Tuesday morning lost control of the vehicle, which hit a roadside teashop at Paambankulam between Valliyoor and Panagudi. As Jayakrishnan, 58, and Gunasekaran, 65, of Paambankulam suffered serious injuries in the mishap, they were rushed to the Kanniyakumari District Medical College Hospital at Aasaaripallam. While Gunasekaran succumbed to his injuries, Jayakrishnan is undergoing treatment. Panagudi police have registered a case.
