Thirty shanties, two factories, and several shops were gutted in a massive fire that broke out in west Delhi’s Dwarka Mor in the early hours of Tuesday, a Delhi Fire Services (DFS) official said, adding that no one was injured in the incident.
The official said they received a call about the fire at 2.07 a.m., after which 11 fire tenders were rushed to the spot. By the time the teams reached, the blaze had spread over an area of nearly 10,000 sq ft.
The fire was brought under control by 3.50 a.m. Soon after, the residents whose dwellings were reduced to ashes were seen looking for their utensils and other belongings.

The official added that no harm came to nearly 120 other shanties in the area. The area residents work mostly as daily wage labourers in the nearby factories.
