Home minister V. Anitha said that over the last six months, 187 women and girls were reported missing in Anakapalli district. With the help of CCTV cameras and advanced technology, 170 individuals were found and reunited with their families.

In the past six months, 1,530 awareness programmes on women’s safety were conducted in the district, she added at the awareness campaign on ‘Safety of Women’ as part of the Women’s Day week-long celebrations at Nakkapalli in the district on Monday. Anakapalli district police organised the event.
