The jallikattu organised at Malaiyakovil village in Pudukottai district left 18 persons injured on Wednesday. The over six-hour-long event saw the release of 683 bulls with the number of participating tamers being 250. 

Ten persons among the injured were referred to Pudukottai Government Medical College Hospital for higher treatment. The remaining persons were treated as out-patients at the event venue, said police sources.
