Transport and Muzrai Minister Ramalinga Reddy has directed the Managing Directors of KSRTC, BMTC, and NWKRTC to ensure improved cleanliness at all bus stations under their jurisdiction.
The directive follows complaints, including the poor condition of a men’s toilet near the ticket counter at the Satellite Bus Stop on Bengaluru–Mysuru Road, which reportedly caused discomfort to women passengers.
Emphasising that public service bodies must act proactively, the Minister warned that repeated complaints regarding unhygienic facilities and overcharging for toilet use will not be tolerated.
He added that private agencies managing toilets at bus stations will face contract termination if they fail to maintain cleanliness standards.
