Three nabbed for stealing bikes in Triplicane and Royapettah

Three including two juveniles were arrested by the police for stealing bikes in Triplicane and Royapettah.

According to the police, Rakesh, a software engineer who is residing in Chepauk parked his expensive bike in front of his house on August 26. The next morning, he was shocked to find that his bike was missing. He lodged a complaint with the Triplicane police.

With the help of the CCTV footage, Triplicane Police nabbed two suspects who are 17-year-old boys and recovered four high-end bikes from them. Both were sent to the Government Observation Home in Kellys.

Meanwhile, Police arrested a history sheeter named Anand, 23 of Royapettah who allegedly had stolen a two-wheeler parked at Pudupet Garden Street in April. He hid the vehicle at a hide-out and later was arrested by Teynampet Police in another criminal case. He came out on bail and was arrested again when he was attempting to sell the two-wheeler, said police.
