India Vs Pak, Asia Cup: DJ goofs up as ‘Jalebi Baby’ plays during Pakistan anthem slot; netizens say, ‘Moye moye’

The Pakistani cricket team were on Sunday not only beaten by India in the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 at the UAE, but were left embarrassed even before the first ball of the match with DJ made a faux pas during their National Anthem was to be played.

After captains Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha refused to shake hands following the toss, the DJ erred as Tesher and played Jason Derulo’s ‘Jalebi Baby’ when the time came to play Pakistan’s National Anthem.

The song was played for roughly six seconds at the Dubai International Stadium and then only Pakistan’s National Anthem was heard.

Soon after the goof-up, the fans went berserk and posted memes and comments on social media.

Here are a few comments:

One wrote, “Lanat BeShumar.”

Another commented, “Disgusting 🤢 “Jalebi Baby” is banger song and not deserve to play for shameless and spin less contry like Pakistan.”

A third wrote, “Moye moye.”

“Nothing to see here. Just Pakistanis getting humiliated as usual just like they were back in May,” a fourth wrote.”

A fifth user wrote, “A day without humiliation is a day wasted:- Pakistani Quam.”

“Even Dj doesn’t take them seriously,” wrote a sixth user.

No handshake:

Earlier, the contest started off with no handshakes between Suryakumar Yadav and Salman Ali Agha. This took place as the two countries were playing just months after aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.

During the too, when Ravi Shastri introduced the two captains, Suryakumar opted not to go for the handshake.Agha also did not extend his hand. Apart from this, there was no eye contact between the two skippers as well.

According to the Indian Express, Suryakumar Yadav made up his mind on the morning of the contest between India and Pakistan. He informed his teammates that he wouldn’t be shaking hands with Agha, but, he told the rest of his team that it was their individual choice whether to shake hands with the Pakistan players.

Pakistan all-rounder Faheem Ashraf, who insulted the Indian Armed Forces by mocking Operation Sindoor, was also Ahead of the match, Ryan ten Doeschate revealed that head coach Gautam Gambhir gave his team a simple message: focus on cricket and ignore the outside noise.
