DRM inspects Machilipatnam, Narsapur, Gudivada stations, inquires about development works

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mohit Sonakiya on Thursday (September 18) inspected Bhimavaram, Narsapur, Machilipatnam and Gudivada railway stations. Mr. Sonakiya inquired the about the ongoing development works under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, infrastructure and cleanliness in the stations.

The DRM inspected the level crossing gate at Ventrapragada and reviewed the progress of the works. In Gudivada Station, he recommended several improvements, including upgrade of premium waiting halls, installation of modular toilets, aesthetic enhancements to the station façade, acceleration of Foot Over Bridge (FOB) construction, and better organisation of parking facilities.

Mr. Sonakiya visited the concourse area and the prepaid AC waiting hall on platform No. 1 in Bhimavaram Town station. He reviewed the provision of ramps for Divyangjan passengers, the installation of modular toilets on platform no. 2, and the newly constructed FOB connecting platforms 1 and 2.

In Narasapur railway station, he focused on the progress of ongoing works taken up under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. The DRM reviewed the construction of the new station building, Foot Over Bridge (FOB) and the new AC waiting hall.

He conducted the rear window inspection of the Narasapur–Nidadavolu Section. Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Mohit Sonakiya said that passenger comfort, cleanliness and safety were the top priorities in the division.

Heads of various departments, officers of various branches and stations accompanied the DRM.
