When Father of the nation Mahatma Gandhi said that his aim was to establish a Dharma Rajya, it was a nation run by the rule of law, said Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Saturday.

He was speaking at the National Jurists Conference convened by the jurists of Brahma Kumaris at the Global Peace Auditorium. Such proposed Dharma Rajya would have all the values of Dharma which would take humanity to higher levels, the Governor said. ‘The rule of law we propose must carry with it the right values, right thinking, right action, service and compassion,’ he said.

Observing that the service being rendered by Brahma Kumaris was selfless, the Governor said that no one can own the earth but it can only be shared. He noted that advocates, doctors or other professionals should adhere to the souls of their respective fields. They should spread the core philosophy of their respective fields.

Supreme Court judge S.V. Bhatti suggested to advocates to stay away from negative thoughts and follow a system of allocating some time and space for inner peace. He appealed to all to concentrate on self-reflection and acquire emotional intelligence. Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy of Telangana High Court said that lawyers should learn from Brahma Kumaris as to how to combine profession and spiritualism. Judges of Telangana High Court Justices Surepalli Nanda and Alishetty Laxminarayana and Justice B.D. Rathi of Madhya Pradesh High Court were present.
