A 33-year-old fisherman was hacked to death owing to previous enmity in New Washermenpet on Wednesday night. Eight persons have been arrested.

Police said that the deceased, Vinoth Kumar, was attacked by a gang outside his house.

On being alerted, police personnel reached the spot and took him to a hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
