Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar said that June 4, 2025, was a historic day in the political history of Andhra Pradesh as it marked the completion of one year of NDA’s good governance following the debacle of the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP), and that it was possible because the people resisted various temptations and endured hardships in the process of casting their votes to the TDP-Jana Sena Party-BJP alliance.

Celebrating the ‘One year of good governance’, along with Vijayawada MP Kesineni Sivanath, Vijayawada East MLA Gadde Rammohan and other leaders, on the ISKCON temple premises here on Wednesday, Mr. Manohar said people stood in queues for hours and delivered a stunning verdict in favour of the NDA, thereby upholding democracy, which the YSRCP had mocked through its actions.

He asserted that the coalition government was striving to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the people by finely balancing welfare and development. The YSRCP got its priorities wrong and it was least bothered about development while implementing welfare schemes for their namesake, he said. People voted the NDA to power having strongly believed in the State’s need for the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, he added.

Mr. Sivanath expressed the wish and hoped that the NDA would govern the State for next 30 years. While praising the NDA partners for successfully dislodging the YSRCP from power, Mr. Rammohan said the triumph brings with it the responsibility to govern in alignment with the people’s hopes and aspirations, and exuded confidence that the coalition would fulfill its mandate to public satisfaction.
