“Differences of opinion in a political party having lakhs of members are quite natural, as there would be such dissimilarities even in families with just four members. Now that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) is discharging its responsibility as the Opposition, it is for the party ranks to work hard and united,” working president of the party K.T. Rama Rao has said.

These remarks came at a meeting with party leaders and key activists from Nirmal, Mudhole and Khanapur constituencies of Nirmal district here on Thursday, and they assume significance in the light of reports of differences among top leaders in the party, leaving the cadre confused. KTR was perhaps trying to send a signal that the party has to focus on going together despite the differences among leaders at the State or the constituency level.

Stating that the party would take up a membership drive in June-July, he asked the party leaders to make it a success by keeping aside differences to regain the three Assembly seats in the district next time. He reminded the party leaders that it was the BRS government that had created Nirmal, Mancherial and Asifabad districts as per the aspirations of the people and also established a medical and a nursing college in Nirmal.
