Minister for School Education Madhu Bangarappa inaugurated the three-day State-level sports meet of the Karnataka State Government Employees’ Association in Shivamogga on Sunday.

The Minister released the balloon into the air to mark the inauguration. He was accompanied by MLAs T.D. Raje Gowda, Belur Gopalakrishna, association president C.S. Shadakshari, and others.

Hundreds of government employees from different parts of the State were participating in the sports meets and cultural events. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah was supposed to inaugurate the event on the day. However, his visit was cancelled.
