India is “committed” to take “firm and decisive action” against terrorists responsible for the Pahalgam terror attack and their supporters, said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, after talks with Angolan President Joao Manuel Goncalves Lourenco here on Saturday (May 3, 2025). 

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has warned India that it would strike any structure that is built on the Indus River in “violation of the Indus Waters Treaty”, which was suspended following the Pahalgam terror attack.

India announced a freeze on imports from Pakistan on Saturday (May 3, 2025) prohibiting the “direct or indirect” import of all goods “originating in or exported by Pakistan”. The Indian government also suspended all postal links with Pakistan, and announced that ships bearing the national flag of Pakistan will not be allowed to dock in Indian ports.
