The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has filed a petition in the special court for ACB and SPE cases in Hyderabad seeking five-day custody of Engineer-in-Chief of the Irrigation and CAD Department at Gajwel Bhookya Hari Ram, in connection with alleged irregularities in the execution of Kaleshwaram Lift irrigation Project when he was heading its execution.

The court is yet to issue an order on the ACB’s request.

The development comes shortly after Mr. Hari Ram’s arrest, which followed raids at his residence and 13 other locations linked to him and his family. The searches led to the seizure of a wide range of assets, including multiple properties across Telangana, luxury vehicles, gold ornaments, and significant bank deposits.
