The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Associations of India (CREDAI) Tamil Nadu, the apex body representing private real estate developers across the State, formally inducted its new leadership team for the term 2025-2027, with W.S. Habib, Chairman and Managing Director of RWD, assuming office as President.

Mr. Habib said, “Real estate is not just a business vertical; it is the bedrock of employment, infrastructure, economic resilience. Our sector contributes significantly to Tamil Nadu’s GSDP, and its potential will only multiply in the coming decades as urbanisation intensifies.

He emphasised the need to establish master plans for Tamil Nadu’s major cities and towns, as “that will help us reach the objective of $1 trillion economy”.

“CREDAI Tamil Nadu is ready to work hand-in-hand with the government to ensure timely implementation, policy coherence, and streamlined approvals,” Mr. Habib added.

B. Ganesan, Director, Directorate of Town and Country Planning, said that the master plans for Coimbatore and Madurai would be rolled out soon. He also told the CREDAI team that their views would be considered.

He said the government would soon come out with an exclusive master plan for hill stations.
