Minister for Electricity V. Senthilbalaji on Saturday flagged off new buses on seven routes from Karur and Kulithalai.

They will run between Karur and Karikali, Karur-Manickapuram, Karur-Kottanatham, Karur-Koonampatti, Karur-Moolanur and Kulithalai-Neithalur Colony.

Mr. Senthilbalaji inaugurated new class rooms constructed at Government Boys Higher Secondary School at Aravakurichi at an estimate of ₹43 lakh.
