The South-East Zone Task Force team, along with Veterinary Officer of Charminar Zone, apprehended a man for illegally preserving and selling stale offal of sheep and goats.
The accused, Mohd Misbahuddin, 24, a resident of Dabeerpura, was found in possession of approximately two quintals of spoiled meat.
Acting on a tip-off, officers raided Misbahuddin’s premises and discovered a large quantity of spoiled offal, including legs, heads, tongues, and brains of sheep and goats, stored in unhygienic conditions.
“Misbahuddin had been purchasing stale offal at reduced rates from wholesale markets and supplying it to functions, events, and hotels. By doing so, he was endangering public health, as the consumption of spoiled meat can lead to severe health complications,” said the police.
Authorities have urged people to remain vigilant and report suspicious activities related to food safety. Further legal action is being pursued against the accused.
