A mega job mela held at CNB Kalyana Mandapam, in tribute to Swami Vivekananda’s 162nd birthday, attracted good participation from youth across Sri Sathya Sai and Anantapur districts, on Thursday.

Organised by State Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav and the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC), the event aimed to create job opportunities for local youth.

Ninety-nine companies participated, interviewing 5,121 candidates and selecting 1,668 individuals. Minister Yadav, speaking via phone, commended the turnout and highlighted how such fairs reduce the burden of job hunting. He encouraged youth to consider initial lower-paying jobs, emphasising skill-based advancement for better future salaries.

Harish Babu from the Minister’s office noted efforts by the Sanskriti Charitable Service Trust in enhancing employment opportunities, while District Skill Development Organisation officer Harikrishna confirmed that selected candidates received recruitment documents and would undergo follow-up training.

The event concluded with recognition for HR representatives from participating companies, marking a significant step towards empowering local youth and fostering economic growth.
