A special free eye screening camp for police personnel and their family members was organised on Sunday by the Mayiladuthurai District Police, under the directive of Superintendent of Police G. Stalin, in collaboration with Kumbakonam Agarwal Eye Hospital.

Additional Superintendent of Police Jayakumar and ophthalmologist Jeevanandham from Kumbakonam Agarwal Eye Hospital presided over the programme. A number of police personnel, their family, ministerial staff working at the Mayiladuthurai District Police Office, and members of the general public turned up. They were briefed about the eye screening procedures and the follow-up treatment based on the test results.
