BJP State president K. Annamalai defended Union Minister for Education Dharmendra Pradhan’s controversial remarks (which have since been withdrawn) in the Lok Sabha on Monday.

Posing a slew of questions to Chief Minister M.K. Stalin in a post on X, Mr. Annamalai said the Union Minister had only spoken the truth. “What is wrong in calling the members of the DMK uncivilised and undemocratic,” he asked. “The Chief Minister says his decisions are the reflection of the people. Do you think the views of your son, daughter, son-in-law, and the DMK leaders and their relatives who run private CBSE/matriculation schools be accounted as the views of the people,” the BJP State president said.

Mr. Annamalai asked who was this “Super Chief Minister”, upon whose insistence the Tamil Nadu government backtracked from signing the memorandum of understanding for the PM Shri Schools “after initially accepting it.”
