A 21-year-old orphan woman, who was brought up in the State-run Bala Sadhan in Karimnagar since 2017, entered into wedlock with a youth of Peddapalli district in a traditional wedding ceremony held under the aegis of the Women Development and Child Welfare Department in Karimnagar on Sunday.

Puja, an orphan, and Sai Teja, a youth from Manthani town, tied the knot in the presence of Collector Pamela Satpathy and a host of other officials and guests at Kala Bharathi auditorium.

The wedding feast was sponsored by Manakondur MLA Kavvampally Satyanarayana.

A visibly elated Puja, a Multi-Purpose Health Worker (MPHW) and diploma holder, thanked the officials concerned for encouraging her in academic pursuits and performing her marriage.
