Kurnool Municipal Corporation Commissioner S. Ravindra Babu has said that the functioning of the Anna Canteens in the city are good and the feedback from the public is an indication of it.

Mr. Ravindra Babu enquired about the overall management of the canteen and also the taste and cleanliness at the canteens. Interacting with women, he extended Women’s Day greetings to them. Later, he interacted with those managing the Anna Canteens and asked them to provide food as per the menu and clean drinking water to the customers. He asked to arrange dustbins and maintain cleanliness at the canteens.
Mr. Ravindra Babu asked the managements to coordinate with the KMC officials and address the problems, if any, and ensure that the people did not face any inconvenience.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said poor people were burdened with spending huge amounts on food when they visit the city on work. He said the government had re-introduced the Anna Canteens keeping poor people in view and is providing food on par with hotels. “Poor can now have quality breakfast, lunch and dinner in a good atmosphere,” he said.
