A good number of tech companies, including Bosch and TATA Power, will participate in a job fair at the District Collectorate here on Wednesday, exclusively for women.
In a statement, District Collector R. Alagumeena said over 10 tech companies, including TATA Power, Bosch, Flow Global, Shell Business Solutions, and Glowin Technologies will participate in the job fair to be jointly organised by Kanniyakumari district administration, Tamil Nadu Skill Development Corporation, Startup Tamil Nadu and under Naan Mudhalvan scheme. Women alone can participate in this special job fair.
While TATA Power will select up to 60 candidates with Diploma in Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Mechanical Engineering and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and ITI in any stream, Bosch will look for talented candidates with SSLC, Plus Two and ITI for the posts of company and NAPS trainee.
Candidates who hold a Diploma in Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication and Mechanical Engineering can apply for the posts of Team Captain and BE Mechanical Engineers for the posts of Logistics. Candidates having Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering will be posted in maintenance section and candidates with Diploma in Nursing qualification can apply for the post of nurses.
Bosch will also recruit candidates with disabilities and other participant companies will select around 20 candidates with BE in Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering qualification also.
Since some of the companies, including TATA Power, will conduct online tests, the candidates should come prepared for it also.
Aspirants may register their names at https://bit.ly/raiseupkk or come directly to the District Collectorate premises before 9 a.m. and register their names at the registration centre at job fair venue, Ms. Alagumeena said.
