The regional centre of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will hold its convocation on Wednesday for the students who completed degree courses in December 2023. The events will be held at the Dwaraka Auditorium at D.D.G.D. Vaishnav College in Arumbakkam.  

As many as 1,500 students will receive degree certificates. The main convocation event is held in New Delhi.

Director of the Central Institute of Brackishwater Aquaculture Kuldeep Kumar Lal will distribute the degree certificates to the students.

The regional centre serves revenue districts such as Cuddalore, Chengalpattu, Kancheepuram, Kallakurichi, Tiruvannamalai, Nagapattinam, Mayiladuthurai, Krishnagiri, Salem; Villuppuram, Perambalur, Namakkal, Vellore, Ranipet, Tirupattur, Tiruvallur, Dharmapuri, and Puducherry, said K. Panneerselvam, Senior Regional Director of the IGNOU’s regional centre.
