Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand on Thursday held a meeting with officials of the Education Department and directed them to make elaborate arrangements for Intermediate Public Examinations, scheduled to be held from March 1 to March 20, 2025 in the State.

Intermediate first year students will write their exams from March 1 to March 19, while second year students will appear for the exam from March 3 to March 20, 2025. As many as 10,58,892 students will appear for the exam in 1,535 examination centres across 26 districts of the State. The exams would be held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon daily. Similarly, 67,952 Intermediate students from Andhra Pradesh Open School Society will appear for the exam, scheduled from March 3 to March 15, at 325 exam centres.

Pointing to the fact that out of the total 1,535 exam centres, 68 of them had been identified as sensitive ones and 36 as vulnerable centres, Mr. Vijayanand directed the Collectors and Superintendents of Police (SPs) to focus on these centres to ensure smooth conduct of the exam. He said adequate arrangements should be made to ensure basic facilities like provision of drinking water, availability of first aid kits, uninterrupted electricity supply and adequate number of benches and desks in the examination centres.

Secretary, School Education Kona Shashidhar said extensive arrangements were being made and a State-level control room was being established with a toll-free number 1800 435 1531 to receive grievances and complaints if any, during the examinations. He advised the Collectors to set up district-level control rooms in their respective areas.

Commissioner, Board of Intermediate Education Kritika Shukla gave a presentation on the arrangements being made to ensure conduct of the examinations in a fool-proof way.
