Rakesh, a resident of Rangayyapalli village of Bhimadeverapalli mandal of Hanamkonda district, found solace at last.

Ailing with Pseudo Muscular Dystrophy for long, Mr. Rakesh, studying intermediate first year at a private college in Mulkanur, was unable to walk due to the severity of the ailment. Doctors suggested regular administeration of expensive injections to help improve his health condition, but poverty prevented him from availing the treatment.

Moved by the miserable condition of the young student, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy offered all the help from the government. The Chief Minister directed the officials concerned to provide required medical treatment to Mr. Rakesh immediately. Officials were directed to provide a [electric] charging vehicle along with treatment enabling Mr. Rakesh, who is unable to walk due to the muscular ailment, to commute.

On the instructions of the Chief Minister, officer on special duty Vemula Srinivasulu spoke Mr. Rakesh’s family over phone and assured support from the government. In addition the treatment, the government would provide the vehicle for his travel from his home town to Mulkanur. The happiness of Rakesh’s parents, Gulla Sammaiah and Lakshmi, knew no bounds after the assurance from the Chief Minister’s office. They thanked the Chief Minister for extending support to their ailing son.
