National Service Scheme (NSS) State Officer Anzer R.N. appealed to students and teachers not to consider NSS activities as an extra burden for them. “The real learning is happening outside the classrooms,” he said while inaugurating the NSS unit at MI Training College, Ponnani, on Thursday (February 13).

Dr. Anzer called for a revamp of BEd colleges to keep pace with the changing educational landscape. He also underscored the importance of empowering teachers and students to use the modern trends of Information Technology in the educational process.

Calicut University NSS programme coordinator N.A. Shihab delivered the keynote address. Principal Naseerali M.K. presided over the function. NSS assistant programme officer Ameen Farook U.K. welcomed the gathering.

Maunathul Islam (MI) Association general secretary A.M. Abdu Samad, college alumni association secretary Asnath Mansoor, MI Training College student council chairperson Aswati T.S., and university union councillor Safwa spoke. Student coordinator Nandana M. proposed a vote of thanks.
