SRM University-AP Vice-Chancellor Manoj K. Arora on Sunday said that India is surging ahead to become a developed nation by 2047.

Speaking at a programme organised as part of the 76th Republic Day celebrations at the university campus, Prof. Arora urged all citizens to ‘come together and strive hard to achieve this inclusive vision’. He also briefed on the university’s growth in academics, research and innovation, entrepreneurial startups, infrastructure and the plans for the upcoming year.

The university also felicitated its student-athlete and Olympian Jyothika Sri Dandi, who participated in the Paris Olympics 2024 and presented her with a cheque of ₹20 lakh for her contribution to Indian sports and her alma mater.

Pro-Chancellor P. Satyanarayana granted cash prizes worth ₹70 lakh to be awarded to students who won in various national and inter-university sports championships.
