When the BJP demanded a probe by the CBI authorities in the Vengavayal incident, why didn’t Viduthalai Chiruthai Katchi leader Thol Thirumavalavan ask for the same then, asked H Raja here on Saturday.
Speaking to media persons, he said that it was he who had sought the CBI probe in the Vengavayal incident. Then, the VCK leader remained silent and had woken up now seeking Central agency to investigate.
The State government’s inefficiency has been exposed in every sphere. When the affected people had staged agitations and demanded justice, the TN Police had booked the SCs as accused in the Vengavayal incident. “What a shame….” It only showed the inefficiency of the government, he lamented.
He further said that it was the BJP which had exposed the remarks of Periyar and urged the people of Tamil Nadu to understand the tactics played by the Dravidan parties. Now, in a bid to divert the Anna University sex scandal issue, the DMK government kept the Periyar issue alive, Mr Raja blamed and said that whatever Seeman of Naam Tamilar Katchi had stated, was already brought to light by the BJP.
Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union government and BJP State president K. Annamalai for withdrawing the Tungsten auction in Aritapatti, he wondered the action and announcement of Chief Minister M. K. Stalin on the issue. “What did the Tamil Nadu government do when the auction was brought in February 2024,” he asked and urged the people to understand the double-face of the DMK and its leaders.
Demanding the resignation of School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Mr Raja said that suspending a headmaster for the death of a ninth standard student in Sivaganga district was nothing but an eyewash. This was nothing but arrogance and irresponsible attitude of the Ministers in the Cabinet.
