Areas in four zones may face sewage issues as Purasawalkam sewage pumping station will not be operated between 2 p.m. on October 14 and 8 p.m. on October 15.

A press release said sewage pumping would be suspended to enable the shifting of a 1,050-mm diameter sewer pipeline on Dr. Ambedkar College Road. This is to facilitate the construction of a flyover at Ganesapuram.

Residents of various localities falling under Royapuram, Thiru.Vi.Ka. Nagar, Anna Nagar, and Teynampet may experience sewage overflow. They may contact Chennai Metrowater officials (8144930905/06/08/09) in their respective areas for complaints.
