More than 500 college students took a pledge to serve as “Mental Health Ambassadors” commemorating World Mental Health Day 2025.

A press release said that Gauthamadas Udipi of Doc Gautham’s Neuro Centre and M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women, in collaboration with the Institute of Applied Therapeutics and Department of Counselling Psychology, University of Madras, held a campaign urging youth to “Smash the Stigma of Mental Health”.

Mohan V. Raman, actor and film scholar, participated. Mental health camps were held at Koyambedu Vegetable Market and Moolakothalam Fish Market, it added.
