A 30-year-old woman allegedly strangled her two daughters to death before ending her life at her house at Nidanapuram in Madhira mandal of Khammam district on Thursday morning.

The deceased were identified as Faiza, her daughters Menurul (5) and Mehek (3).

According to police, Faiza resorted to the extreme step as she was upset over her husband Shaik Baji’s behaviour. Sources said Shaik Baji was reportedly summoned by the police a day before for questioning in connection with a theft in Khammam, and Faiza was upset over this.
