Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy announced that the State government will install a statue of Ratan Tata in Adibhatla, Ranga Reddy district, in recognition of his philanthropic activities. The site will be finalised after discussing the matter with Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy upon his return from Davos.
Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy laid the foundation stone for Adibhatla to Mangalpally road, a ₹25 crore project, and addressed a public meeting on Thursday.
“Ratan Tata, a great philanthropist, donated over half of his wealth to the people of India, and his companies employ thousands in this region. The government is upgrading ITIs with Tata Company CSR funds and developing skill centres,” he said.
The Minister also discussed road and rail development works, including the expansion of NH-65, RRR, and other National and State highways.
“The government has approved the expansion of the Metro up to Shamirpet to facilitate development in all directions,” he said.
Minister Komatireddy criticised the Opposition BRS party policies, stating that their Pharma City project is harmful to people. He highlighted that various companies have signed agreements with Telangana government to make massive investments, impressed by the government’s commitment to development and welfare activities.
