Chandramohan Thakur, Deputy Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, undertook a visit to Auroville to gain first-hand insights into the township’s alternative education systems, community participation, and sustainable development initiatives, a press note said.
During the visit, Mr. Thakur was provided a comprehensive introduction to Auroville’s educational philosophies, its administrative structure and community-based learning environment. Mr. Thakur lauded Auroville’s educational endeavours and highlighted the potential for future collaborations with the ‘PM SHRI Schools’ located in Puducherry region, the note said.
