The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) national executive committee meeting was held in Pune on Saturday (January 18, 2025.

The party executive committee named Tejashwi Yadav as the president of RJD which is presently occupied by his father Lalu Prasad.

The resolution said the decision was taken as Mr. Yadav’s stature increased in the party.

As per the resolution, Mr. Tejashwi Yadav can also take decisions related to amendment in the party, party ticket and symbol along with Mr. Prasad. At present Mr. Yadav is leader of Opposition in Bihar Legislative Assembly.
