Member of Parliament and writer Shashi Tharoor launched The Hindu’s latest product, Surf and Dive, a print product that gives readers in-depth coverage across a range of issues through long-form reads.

Mr. Tharoor, along with The Hindu’s chairperson Nirmala Lakshman, Editor Suresh Nambath and CEO L.V. Navaneeth released the first copy of Surf & Dive at The Hindu’s Lit for Life festival on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

The idea behind Surf & Dive was that in a world abuzz with digital distractions, there’s a growing hunger for thoughtful analysis and trusted perspectives. Readers are seeking quality content that informs, informs, inspires and empowers. And and at a time when information overload can overwhelm, Surf & Dive presents meticulously curated long-form reads that offer clarity, context and a 360-degree perspective on the world around you.

Surf & Dive, according to Mr. Nambath, has been conceived of as a product that gives readers both breadth and depth as they seek information in a curated format. The subjects are varied: political, social and economic developments in India and the rest of the world, alongside science, technology and medicine; art and culture as well as sports.

The writers are subject experts who provide a deep dive into issues, cutting through the clutter with clarity of thought, in way that can occupy the mind spaces of readers.
